Noia
This one will be a weird one. It is not an actual trip, but anyway, I just wanted to say a few words about this place, and show you some photos.
So, this will be the case. If nothing, enjoy the photos and gallery.
It was the week of Easter. To be exact it was April the 19th, 2019. Our fiends had some mini vacation in the place nearby, so they called us to come visit one day, and make it about exploring the "neighbourhood" with two of my fellow doggos.
Of course we went. Well... I am always up to do some thing outdoor anyways.
We started with a place I called Noia. It is actually a recreational area of river Tambre.
The point of interest here is Tambre's Hydroelectric power station.

The Tambre Hydroelectric Power Plant, still operating, is one of two facilities in the province of A Coruña included in the catalog of 100 elements included in the National Industrial Heritage Plan.
This plant is located seven kilometres downstream of the Barrié de la Maza reservoir, which feeds the Tambre I and Tambre II power plants.
It was designed in 1924 by the prestigious architect Antonio Palacios, the greatest exponent of modernism in Galicia, to house the installation of a hydroelectric power station. There is a magnificent set of buildings that are located on the banks of the Tambre River, in a landscape of great scenic beauty .

The workers' homes have been rehabilitated and today they are converted to the Hotel Pesquería do Tambre.

From the recreative area you can find a paths that leads you to the oaks, laurels and elder forests. In front of us there is a a suspension bridge that crosses the river and the communication with a steep forest track, from which you can see the whole of the plant and the water pipes from the top.

We took our time, we played, we make lives of our human's miserable... and that would be it.

It was a time to go to stretch paws somewhere else. We went to Ponte Maceira.
Ponte Maceira is a pleasant village, located between the municipalities of Ames and Negreira, a few kilometres from Santiago, divinely preserved and recovered.

There we saw an old mill, dam, chapel, a modern palace and the great bridge, built on the Tambre river in the thirteenth century, using the pillars of another previous Roman bridge.
This medieval bridge is called A Ponte Vella, and it means old bridge.
Crossing this bridge is mandatory for pilgrims (camino de Santiago) who extend the Jacobean Route to Fisterra.

And here we are...posing with this magnificent bridge.

And our visit to this historical place ends with a walk by the Pazo de Baladrón.

Next on my list, before I go home is Fervenza de Castriz.
It is located in Xallas de Castriz, within the City Council of Santa Comba, in A Coruña. We parked our car before the dirt road that takes us to the Recreational Area.

The area is currently rehabilitated, and has a wide wooden walkway that will facilitate the passage to the waterfall, and the five hydraulic mills, each identified with the name that the locals once gave it.
It is pretty cute place if you ask me... so I stayed and played there a little.
And with this my silly photo, I finish this day.

Until the new trip...
Aby
